Karim Farag has extensive background and experience in general management, product management and international development, developing new revenue streams, building distribution partnerships, Internet marketing and merchandising strategies, and in commercial construction. He is proficient in the Arabic and French languages, as well as English.
For the past three years Farag has been engaged in product management and international development relating to licensing – around digital rights.

At Cendant, a Fortune 500 company, Farag served first as Director, Strategic Development – Cendant Internet Group – part of a small corporate development team focused on incubating internet business by leveraging existing assets, and then as Senior Director, Business Development – Travel Distribution Services Division – directing all business development activities for the online and offline travel agency assets of the Retail Travel Services group, including CheapTickets.com and Cendant Membership Travel, developing and executing strategic partnerships, leading negotiations team (product, operations, finance, IT, legal) to facilitate deal execution, chairing multi-functional teams to drive operational efficiencies, developing new product offerings, managing team and partnership P&L, establishing affiliate distribution partnerships, and supporting a strategic development group in evaluating growth opportunities, acquisitions and joint ventures.
Farag also has work experience in commercial construction as a field engineer supervising construction personnel on large projects, consulting with clients and architects and engineers weekly, documenting daily field activities and amended construction plans and specifications, managing resolution of project disputes with architects, engineers and contractors, and performing environmental inspections and preparing environmental assessment reports, and as a staff architect producing complete architectural design and construction plans, preparing project budget analyses and estimating construction costs, researching ordinances and performing zoning analysis, and coordinating plans with various engineering disciplines including structural and mechanical engineers.
Farag holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture with a minor in Economics, a Masters degree in Business Administration – Supply Chain Management, and a Masters degree in International Management – International Finance.
