Marvin L. Schuldiner

Marv Schuldiner has many years of industry experience in logistics and transport and supply chain management. Presently, he offers independent consulting services in those fields, and in website development and on-line marketing. He has extensive training and experience in dispute resolution, both as an arbitrator and a mediator.

Supply Chain Management

For five years, Schuldiner was a Business Development Manager at Tibbett & Britten Group Americas, a third-party logistics company who operated warehouses and trucking operations primarily for global Fortune 500 companies, as both a consultant and in managing business development teams. His clients included companies such as Procter & Gamble, JC Penney, Nestle, Kraft Foods, JM Smuckers, Wise Snack Foods, IBM, Novartis, Home Depot and Gillette. He also helped the company’s effort to expand into various Latin American countries including Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Peru and Costa Rica. The company is now part of DHL.

Schuldiner was employed for seven years at Toyota’s California headquarters. He started as an analyst in an in-house trucking division and then worked on the team that developed and started up a supply chain division for OEM parts destined for a west coast assembly plant and Japan. He continued to improve and expand the operations by leading teams that further reduced overall systems costs, transit times and in-transit inventory, integrated the supply chain into plant operations and incorporated additional suppliers, including Mexican maquiladoras, into the system. He also developed and managed the division’s accounting and administration systems, and consulted for other Toyota divisions. After Schuldiner’s time in manufacturing parts logistics, he managed the team that determined the long-term finished vehicle distribution network for the U.S. He also developed the distribution networks for new North American plants and new products in addition to ad hoc system improvements to lower costs and transit times.

Dispute Resolution Training and Experience

Following his time in logistics, Schuldiner earned a Certificate in Conflict and Dispute Resolution from New York University. His training included a mediation apprenticeship in Manhattan court and an externship with the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission. He is now an Accredited Professional Mediator by the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM) and is currently a member of the roster of mediators for the Superior Court in New Jersey, Storm Sandy Insurance Dispute Mediation roster ans a pro-bono mediator for the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission. He is on the arbitration roster for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA, formerly NASD and NYSE Dispute Resolutions), CDRS and the part 137 program (attorney-client fee dispute) for the New York Unified Court System.  Schuldiner holds a number of leadership positions within the mediation community, including as Immediate Past President of NJAPM, and is the Director of Civil Mediation Training for NJAPM.  As Director of Civil Mediation Training, he develops the curriculum for various training courses in addition to creating and administering various training courses (such as apprenticeships and case management training for mediators).  The collective courses train hundreds of students per year.  Further, he is trained in and is an authorized vendor for Conflict Dynamics Profiles.

Other Experience

Schuldiner has been involved in the horse racing industry as a standardbred (harness) horse owner and breeder (both stallion and broodmare). He was a trustee and treasurer for his homeowners association, including acting as the point person in the transition litigation against the developer, and is involved in the sports memorabilia business.  He also develops websites for a wide variety of clients, including attorneys, mediators, NFL football players, professional wrestling, sports memorabilia, a furniture retailer and a vineyard.

Schuldiner holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Rutgers University.
